Azure DevOps Engineer
London / Manchester - Hybrid
UBDS group is looking for a motivated Azure DevOps Engineer with a minimum of one year’s experience to join our Cloud and Platform Engineering team. This role supports the design, implementation and maintenance of cloud-native infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for public and private sector clients. You will work in collaboration with experienced professionals while expanding your skills and contributing to impactful delivery outcomes.
Applicants must either hold Security Check (SC) clearance or be eligible and willing to undergo the SC vetting process.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in building, configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Support the deployment and management of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to implement best practices for build, release and monitoring processes.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues across the delivery pipeline.
  • Produce and maintain documentation relating to environments, tools, and automation practices.
    Technical Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, particularly in compute, storage, networking and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps tools, especially Pipelines and Repos.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
  • Basic scripting experience using PowerShell, Bash or Python.
  • Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
    Experience:
  • At least 1 year of practical experience in a DevOps, cloud engineering, or system administration role.
  • Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies.
    Certifications (desirable):
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or Azure Administrator Associate.
  • HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
    Security Clearance:
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance.
    Attributes:

  • Attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving
