Overview

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with expertise in Terraform and PowerShell to automate infrastructure and application deployments. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in highly controlled environments, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in Azure environments.

Responsibilities

DevOps & Automation:
Infrastructure as Code: Deploy and manage infrastructure using Terraform in Azure.
Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to streamline deployments and system configurations.
Application Deployment: Automate and improve application deployment processes.
Continuous Improvement: Explore new tools and technologies to enhance efficiency.
Duties will include, but not limited too:
The automation of updates of Azure DevOps Feeds with software packages
Automatic and programmatic update processing of Azure Market Place client and server images
Supporting the implementation of a service that will update an internal repository with approved software
Support POC work with Microsoft Intune
Train and handover solutions to support teams
Automating the reporting around VM security posture

Essential skills

Strong experience in Azure environment including the creation and maintenance of pipelines.
Expertise in Terraform, PowerShell, and automation.
Ability to work in highly controlled environments with security and compliance considerations.
Prior experience in application migrations is a plus.
Azure DevOps administration experience
Previous coding experience, and a general grounding in application development
Ability to work on their own initiative whilst delivering within timescales
Experience with VMs images and Azure

Communicate technical updates in a clear, audience-appropriate manner.
Work with cross-functional teams to plan backlogs and prioritize tasks effectively.
Provide structured updates on progress and issues, ensuring alignment with business goals.
