3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer - Essex

ABOUT THE CLIENT
Due to continued growth, we're working with an established Managed Service Provider looking to expand their senior support function. They operate across a broad customer base, delivering infrastructure, cloud, and security services, with a strong focus on technical quality and customer outcomes.

THE 3RD LINE INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER ROLE:
You'll operate as a senior escalation point within the support team, taking ownership of complex infrastructure issues across on-prem and cloud environments. The role blends BAU escalations with project work, giving you exposure to a wide range of technologies including virtualisation, networking, and cyber security.

You'll be working closely with 1st and 2nd line teams, providing guidance, resolving high-level incidents, and contributing to continuous improvement across systems and processes.

3RD LINE INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER ESSENTIAL SKILLS
* Strong experience with Windows Server environments
* Proven background supporting Hyper-V and VMware
* Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based infrastructure
* Solid knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions
* Strong understanding of storage technologies
* Networking experience across routing, switching, and firewalls
* Exposure to cyber security principles and best practices
* Experience working within an MSP environment
* Comfortable handling escalations and mentoring junior engineers
