About the Role:
We're partnering with a highly reputable company based just outside of Leicester to find a talented Infrastructure Engineer. This is a hybrid position, offering 2 days from home after probation.

The Opportunity:
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be a vital part of the team, working on exciting projects and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of IT environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining server, network, and storage solutions for clients.
  • Providing 3rd line support, resolving complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Managing cloud and hybrid environments, including Azure.
  • Monitoring and maintaining infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Leading infrastructure migrations and upgrades with minimal downtime.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.
  • Documenting technical processes and configurations for clarity and compliance.
  • Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.

About You:
We're looking for someone with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a client-focused mindset. To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in a similar Infrastructure Engineer role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Expertise in networking, including firewalls, routers, and switches (Cisco or Fortinet preferred).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms - Azure.
  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Understanding of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, VMware) are advantageous.
