We have the privilege of recruiting on behalf of an innovative business, who are a leader in their sector, supplying UK and European Retail customers with fresh high-quality Fresh Produce. Due to exciting growth within the business, we currently offer the fantastic opportunity of Logistics Coordinator to join the Customs team.

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the customs and HMRC clearance processes for deep-sea containers and road freight. This role involves coordinating container transportation, maintaining accurate purchase order data in the MRP system, and ensuring timely delivery to avoid demurrage charges. The position requires close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Within this role, you will be responsible for

  • Liaising with the Warehouse Team regarding container arrivals and daily operational plans.

  • Preparing and maintaining HMRC Customs Handling documentation and update the Prophet Arrival Planner.

  • Verifying data for compliance with applicable federal and international regulations.

  • Complete IPAFF and HMRC CHIEF Declarations; liaise with Customs Clearance Agencies.

    We require;
    Exposure to the Fresh Produce / Fresh Food sectors would be highly advantageous

    Experience gained within a logistics, shipping, freight, supply chain position

    Knowledge of product supply to retail customers
    Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
    Attention to detail & precise numeracy ability

    Exceptional administrative skills

    Location; Kent
    Hours; Monday - Friday; 40 hour week
    Salary; £30k - dependent on experience offered
