As the Head of Startups for AWS in UKI, you will play a pivotal role in helping the region’s most innovative and high-potential startups scale, succeed, and innovated on the AWS platform. This role is responsible for leading the end-to-end sales strategy, planning, and go-to-market execution for the startup business across the UK and Ireland. You will drive revenue growth, increase AWS adoption, and expand market adoption, while managing a high-performing sales team and working cross-functionally with business development, marketing, partners, solutions architecture, and service teams.

We’re looking for a growth-oriented sales leader with a strong understanding of the startup market, and demonstrated expertise in both Cloud and AI. The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in technology sales leadership, the ability to connect to the technical needs of founders, C-level executives, VC's and the strategic thinking to convert complex, ambiguous problems into actionable, data-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate will be able to empathise with startup founders.

Key job responsibilities
+ Lead annual business and go-to-market planning for the Startup business segment, including developing mature cross-functional engagement mechanisms for planning and execution, with a deep focus on sales strategy to respond to local customer needs.
+ Engage with customers to educate, accelerate and grow their use of the AWS cloud to support their business outcomes.
+ Drive business growth, meeting or exceeding revenue targets, opportunity creation and progression, acquisition and growth goals.
+ Develop and mature mechanisms to deeply understand local Startup customer needs, gaps, and opportunities.
+ Build a culture of sales excellence, including skills in coaching and developing high performance sales teams and exemplifying Amazon's Leadership Principles.
