A Collaboration Services Engineer opportunity with our global Collaboration Platforms team under Workplace Technology. Working with a group of other like-minded engineers to provide tech solutions to our users around the world.

The Collaboration Services Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining best-in-class standards for Google Workspace, Google Cloud Platform - IAM, Slack Enterprise Grid and contributing to our roadmap of improvements, from internal automations like Slack bots to maintaining externally facing courier and restaurant site infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in enterprise collaboration platforms with mentorship from experienced senior engineers.

📋 Key Responsibilities

Support implementation of solutions for internal teams globally

Participate in technical projects and deployments under guidance from senior team members

Learn and apply best practices to improve products/services or processes

Help optimize Google Workspace, GCP - IAM, and Slack Enterprise configurations to meet changing requirements

Participate in requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders

Contribute to functional projects or work streams within a project

Develop scripts and automation tools to improve team efficiency

Work with APIs to integrate collaboration platforms with other systems

Participate in on-call rotation on a shift pattern basis (training provided)

💪🏻 Your Profile & Recommended Experience

Experience working with Google Workspace and/or Slack (admin experience is a plus)

Basic programming/scripting skills in one or more languages (Python, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, or similar)

Understanding of cloud computing concepts and API integration

Eagerness to learn automation tools and Infrastructure as Code principles

Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Self-motivated with a desire to continuously learn new technologies

Ability to work independently on assigned tasks

Stays up to date with new technology and existing software used in the group

2-3 years of experience with collaboration platforms or IT infrastructure

📊 Nice to have

Experience with Google Workspace automation (GAM, Apps Script)

Experience with Slack and ChatOps

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Serverless Framework)

Experience managing policies in Google Cloud Platform at an IAM level

Previous experience with ticketing systems or ITSM tools
