IT Project Manager – Finance Systems
Suffolk-based (hybrid) | Contract | Immediate Start Required
DOE | Global Manufacturing Environment

We're supporting a well-established organisation in their search for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a number of finance-related IT initiatives across a global business. This is a contract role with immediate start and will suit someone who has strong experience in IT project delivery with exposure to financial systems or ERP projects.

Working closely with stakeholders in both IT and finance functions, you’ll ensure project success across workstreams such as system migrations, reporting upgrades and governance. This is a high-impact role that combines strategic oversight with hands-on project execution.

 What you'll be doing:
Managing the delivery of IT projects with a finance focus, such as ERP upgrades and reporting system implementations.

Coordinating cross-functional global teams, managing dependencies and tracking milestones.

Owning project plans, timelines, budgets and risks, while holding teams accountable for delivery.

Acting as the key liaison between IT, Finance and the wider business—ensuring alignment on systems, data and reporting needs.

Helping shape the governance, structure and communication approach for ongoing and future projects.

Driving early-stage deliverables including:

Cloud migration of finance consolidation systems

Rollout of a common chart of accounts

Development and transition to a new management reporting system

What we're looking for:
Proven IT Project Management experience (minimum 2–3 years), ideally within large or global organisations

Strong understanding of finance systems, reporting tools, ERP, or management information platforms

Comfortable in both strategic and hands-on roles—building frameworks while delivering outputs directly

Skilled in stakeholder communication, coordination of global teams, and maintaining momentum in complex project environments

Prince2 certified or equivalent

Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, Teams, and collaboration tools

Bonus points for:
Experience within manufacturing or engineering environments

Exposure to GDPR compliance or writing data governance policy

Prior involvement in ERP upgrades or financial system deployments

Understanding of DEPM or other consolidation/reporting platforms

This role requires someone immediately available and able to commute to Suffolk on a hybrid basis.
If you’re a proactive project leader with a track record in delivering IT solutions to support finance transformation—this could be an excellent next step
