Are you a hands-on Mechanical Fitter/Fabricator who thrives on solving problems and wants to be part of a team where your ideas matter? If you're mechanically minded, take pride in your work, and enjoy variety – this one’s for you.

The Role:

You’ll be working in a well-equipped workshop handling both reactive and planned maintenance on skips (containers) and HGV trailers. The role involves everything from diagnostics and inspections to welding and light fabrication.

Workshop Layout:

Bay 1: Project work – time-consuming and complex jobs

Bay 2: Breakdowns and cosmetic repairs – fast turnaround tasks

Your Day-to-Day:

Welding, painting, and replacing sheeting systems on skips

Diagnosing and fixing faults on HGV trailers

Running six-weekly inspections and "running repairs"

Working on gearboxes, hydraulics, batteries, oil systems & solar panels

You’ll be supported with HGV Shunter training and access to a structured training curriculum. The team values proactive problem-solvers who take ownership of their craft.

✅ What We're Looking For:

Strong mechanical skills and workshop experience

Good knowledge of gearboxes, hydraulics, or similar systems

A team player who takes pride in their work

Someone who doesn’t accept “I don’t know” as an answer

Your own tools (some equipment provided)

The Offer:

Salary: £32,240 – £40,000 (based on skills and qualifications)

Hours: Typically 6am–6pm or 7am–7pm, with flexibility

Shifts: Mix of Mon–Fri and 4-on-4-off patterns
