Junior Developer - AWS Cloud

Avanti Recruitment is currently working with a global financial award-winning UK-based FinTech trading company who are currently looking to hire a Mid-Level Java Developers due to growth within the company. The office is in South London with good transport links, you will be required in the office 3 days per week.

On a day-to-day basis you will find yourself working across the full software development life cycle including design/architecture. You will be involved in developing and maintaining Java-based applications, APIs, and backend services. You will be involved modernising legacy systems into a newer microservices architecture as well as system enhancements, maintenance, and integration. You will take ownership of individual elements of development and will be involved with code reviews.

The company are keen on helping develop their teams skillsets and are happy to help with accreditations/certifications. The company are keeping up with the latest technologies and are always looking to implement new tech as it progresses. They are also working with the latest AWS tech including Lambdas , Aurora, Cognito, EC2 etc.

You will be working closely with the product development team as well as the trading colleagues and other developers on a daily basis to ensure you are delivering excellent service to the companies clients.

Experience needed:

  • Strong Java experience

  • Solid understanding of OOP

  • Experienced with Spring or Springboot frameworks

  • REST APIs design and integration

  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL)

  • Agile Development

  • Understanding and usage of CI/CD such as Jenkins

    Desirable:

  • AWS (Aurora/Lambdas)

  • Docker/Kubernetes

  • React

  • Jenkins / GitHub Actions

    The salary on off for this role is up to £70,000 + 27 days holiday (Plus bank holiday) + Life Insurance + Private Medical Cover.
