Junior Developer - AWS Cloud

My global financial client is looking for a cloud engineer to join their Contact Centre Technology team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid grounding in software development, particularly in Golang or a similar language, who is eager to contribute to both legacy systems and innovative cloud-based solutions. You'll play a key role in supporting our video calling functionality and helping the transition outbound communication capabilities to the cloud.

The role is predominantly back end focused - system build, deployment etc. We are looking for a developer who can talk through their decisions, not just tick boxes. You will be a great communicator and a team player.

Essential Skills

Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python), with a strong preference for Golang.
Experience building and maintaining software systems in a production environment.
Understanding of software deployment processes and controls in regulated environments.
Change Management: Needs to understand software deployment processes + controlsDesirable Skills

AWS - particularly AWS Lambda or other serverless/cloud-native services.
General cloud experience helpful even if not AWS-specific
Agile methodologies and an ability to discuss its strengths and limitations.Key Duties

Support and maintain existing video call capabilities in our contact centre platform.
Contribute to the design and implementation of cloud-based outbound dialling and messaging solutions.
Work within a controlled software deployment environment, understanding change management principles.
Participate in team discussions around Agile methodologies, network infrastructure, certifications, and operational controls.
Contribute to legacy systems and cloud-based solutionsOur client offers a hybrid working model with two days a week on site in Glasgow and three WFH. The ideal candidate will be looking to commit long term to this role.
