Senior Java Engineer

£60,000 + Bonus

SR2 are recruiting for a Senior Java Engineer for one of our Bristol based clients.

They're an SME sized, privately owned business who have seen a lot of success and organic growth in the recent years. We're currently hiring a new Senior Java Engineer to join their team, and work closely the Tech Lead within a cross-functional agile development team.

They are a business who are committed to advancing technology with modern tools, enhancing safety and sustainability of their products and systems which are all designed and built here in the UK. 

Something we love about the client, is how dedicated they are to reducing their environmental impact. They have implemented energy-saving measures within their operations, making various upgrades to their systems to reduce energy consumption.

About the role: 

If you're an experienced Java software engineer, with skills in Spring boot, REST APIs or GraphQL, CI/CD and have worked in collaborative agile development teams this would be a great fit for you.

Their engineering team works cross-functionally, so you will have a chance to work with different types of engineers and collaborate your skills. 

You'll be joining a highly supportive company with a 'one team' ethic, to solve interesting and highly complex issues, whilst developing their product features further.

Experience needed:

Java and Spring 
REST API development  (or GraphQL)
Azure or AWS experience
CI/CD Pipelines experience
Up to date with industry best engineering practices 
Experienced working within an Agile Scrum environment 
Skilled in software design, implementation, deployment and test-driven development Benefits include: 26 days holiday (plus bank holidays), private health care, annual bonus, cycle to work scheme, 2 charity volunteering days per year
