Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Liverpool / Hybrid
Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE

A growing technology-focused organisation is seeking a talented Infrastructure Engineer to join their dynamic IT team. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in shaping and supporting cloud infrastructure as the business expands its digital capabilities.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 3rd Line BAU technical support and handle escalated issues from the desktop support team.

  • Design and deploy scalable Azure cloud infrastructure including Virtual Networks, NSGs, Firewalls, and Availability Zones.

  • Manually provision Azure resources such as VMs, SQL Databases, Storage, and Application Gateways.

  • Maintain and monitor infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Network Watcher.

  • Perform regular patching, updates, and incident response across cloud-based environments.

  • Implement RBAC, Azure AD role management, and enforce security compliance via Azure Policy and Defender for Cloud.

  • Participate in migrations from on-prem to Azure using Azure Migrate and AD Connect.

    Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year in an infrastructure/3rd line support role with hands-on Azure experience.

  • Strong understanding of cloud and traditional infrastructure (networking, storage, server, security).

  • Experience with hybrid environments, backup strategies, and business continuity planning.

  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and working within a ticketing system.

  • Technical knowledge in areas such as Azure AD, Microsoft 365, DNS, Kubernetes environments, and Linux server support.
