Business Analyst

Financial Services background - ideally with mortgage / property / lending or loans industry experience

Weekly office attendance in Horsham, West Sussex is required.

Stratospherec are recruiting for a fast growing UK Fintech SaaS company who produce a market leading Fintech SaaS platform used by Finance companies across the UK and Europe.

The BA will play a crucial role in ensuring IT development projects are fully scoped to a high standard. You will ensure the requirements are understood and documented correctly, to allow Development and Quality Assurance teams to progress work accurately and efficiently.

You will perform a pivotal role from the beginning of the process and throughout, workshoping with clients, gathering requirements and informing the business of the effort required to deliver a project. The BA will be translating requirements into highly detailed project plans and working with Project Management and Development and QA Teams on implementing the software for customers.

This role will require strong interpersonal and communication skills along with deep experience of modelling and requirements management planning processes. You will work closely with both the business and technical teams to ensure that solutions are delivered to specification, budget and timescales.

We are looking for candidates with 3 years plus experience as a Business Analyst and a background working in financial services, ideally working with/for mortgage/property/loans/lender financial companies.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the business and project teams to understand the scope of projects.

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and gather details business requirements.

  • Act as a liaison between clients and the business.

  • Work closely with the project management, development and quality assurance teams.

  • Documenting project scope and requirements.

  • Translating requirements into highly detailed project briefs.

  • Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for business suitability, including making recommendations to key internal stakeholders.

  • Producing project feasibility and costings reports.

  • Working closely with colleagues, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.

  • Identifying potential risks and predicting potential problems.

  • Planning and working flexibly to deadlines.

  • Keeping up to date with technical and industry developments.

  • Use data modelling practices to analyse requirements and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes

  • Document and communicate findings to technical and non-technical colleagues.

  • Ensure adherence and working towards departmental and project deadlines.

  • Participate in validating new client systems and processes to meet business requirements.

    You will have the following experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a business analysis role.

  • Background working in financial services, ideally working with/for mortgage/property finance lenders.

  • Proven track record of delivering complex analysis specifications and working with project teams to deliver successful results.

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, including agile.

  • Experience using project collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps and Monday.

  • Ability to contribute to a team effort & work collaboratively with cross functional teams.

  • Experience facilitating and leading client scoping workshops.

  • Logical approach to problem solving.

  • Good interpersonal and client-handling skills with the ability to manage expectations.

  • Business awareness.

  • Methodical, investigative and inquisitive mind.

  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects within your project timeframes.

  • Passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change.

    This role is being offered on a full-time basis and requires some weekly on-site attendance. Their offices are located close to the Horsham town centre with nearby parking and shops
