Cloud Assurance Associate Director

London / Hybrid

£100,000 – £120,000 + Benefits (Bonus, Unites(shares), Hybrid (1 day per week), private health, etc)

Overview:

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cloud Assurance Associate Director who has strong experience in AWS and Azure coupled practice lead capabilites who understands internal audit processes.

This role will lead the delivery of technology internal audit and technology risk engagements, with a particular focus on cloud platforms and cloud governance. You will provide subject matter expertise to large and complex organisations, helping them manage and mitigate risks associated with cloud adoption, technology transformation and modern IT environments.

The position combines client leadership, technical assurance, and business development, and is ideal for someone looking to operate at a senior level while helping shape cloud assurance offerings and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the delivery of technology internal audit and technology risk engagements, with a focus on cloud platforms and cloud governance.

Manage a portfolio of clients and assignments, ensuring delivery exceeds expectations and meets professional standards.

Provide subject matter expertise in cloud risk, security, resilience and governance.

Plan and deliver technology risk assessments, internal audit reviews and assurance engagements.

Review work produced by team members and ensure quality and compliance with methodology.

Present findings and reports to senior stakeholders, leadership teams and audit committees.

Support business development initiatives, identifying opportunities to expand services with new and existing clients.

Assist in developing new technology risk and cloud assurance services.

Support financial management of engagements, including budgeting, WIP monitoring and ensuring profitable delivery.

Contribute to annual audit planning and risk-based audit strategies.Skills & Experience Required:

Strong experience delivering technology cloud internal audits is a must have.

Experience auditing cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or private cloud environments is a must have.

Strong understanding of cloud governance, security, resilience and risk management frameworks is a must have.

Experience working with large and complex organisations is a must have.

Knowledge of Cloud Security Alliance Cloud Controls Matrix, well-architected frameworks and cloud security best practices.

Understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, release management and source control processes.

Professional certification such as CISA, CCAK, CCSK, CCSP or equivalent is a must have.Desirable Experience:

Experience delivering cloud assurance or cloud security reviews.

Experience presenting to senior leadership teams or audit committees.

Experience developing new service offerings or growing client relationships.

Strong commercial awareness and engagement management experience
