Our client is looking for a high-impact Solution Architect to join a global Tier-1 financial institution based in Sheffield. This is a pivotal role for a visionary technologist who enjoys bridging the gap between cutting-edge automation and mission-critical legacy infrastructure.

The Role: You will be the lead designer for infrastructure automation, responsible for architecting and delivering Ansible-based solutions integrated into global Jenkins CI/CD pipelines. This isn't just about writing scripts; it's about challenging conventional wisdom to build the most resilient, scalable, and compliant systems in the banking world.

Key Responsibilities:

Design end-to-end CI/CD Architecture and produce detailed technical diagrams.

Lead the transition toward fully automated workflows using Ansible, Python, and Go.

Collaborate with Risk Management teams to ensure designs meet strict Credit, Market, and IT Ops risk standards.

Modernize legacy environments, including Mainframe (z/OS) and File Transmission workflows (IBM SFG/SSP).

Work within an Agile framework to deliver high-quality, documented solutions.What We're Looking For:

5+ years in an Architectural role focused on Ansible and Jenkins.

Mastery of Shell Scripting and at least one high-level language (Python or Go).

Experience with BMC Control-M or Mainframe job execution is highly desirable.

A "Consultant Mindset"-the ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse global stakeholders.Logistics:
