Senior DevOps Engineer - Contract (Inside IR35)

Location: Remote

Rate: £550 per day (Inside IR35)

4-5 month contract

We are supporting a major IT service provider looking for a highly experienced DevOps Engineer to build, operate, and industrialise modern cloud‑native platforms across public and private cloud environments.

This is a key role supporting large-scale digital transformation programmes, with a strong focus on automation, reliability, and zero-trust security.

Key Responsibilities:

* Build and operate platforms across GCP (GKE / GKE On-Prem / GDC)

* Manage Kubernetes at scale (lifecycle, upgrades, Day 0/1/2, drift remediation)

* Deliver GitOps-first operations (ArgoCD)

* Develop IaC using Terraform Enterprise, Ansible & Metalsoft

* Build multi-stage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)

* Embed Zero Trust principles, secrets management (Akeyless) & compliance controls (DORA)

* Lead platform modernisation and DevOps transformation initiatives

Required Experience:

* Strong CI/CD & IaC automation (GitHub Actions, Terraform Enterprise, Ansible)

* Kubernetes operations & cluster lifecycle management

* GitOps and TFE workspace/module design

* Secrets management & secure platform engineering (Akeyless preferred)

* Experience building reusable "Golden Path" infrastructure

* Strong understanding of security, compliance & regulated environments
