Job Title: IT Infrastructure Engineer (Azure Migration & Deployment)
Location: Watford (preferred) or Horsham | Hybrid after probation (3 days onsite, 2 days work from home non-consecutive)
Salary: Up to £55,000
Contract: Full-time, Permanent | 3-Month Probation

Overview
We're looking for an experienced and versatile IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team, supporting a key transformation project as we move core infrastructure from on-premise to Azure. This is a hands-on role suited to a senior third-line engineer with a broad IT background, strong server and networking expertise, and a keen interest in cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Lead server deployments and manage enterprise storage infrastructure
Assist with the migration of services and workloads from on-prem to Azure
Work with VLANs, routing, and general networking at a high level
Collaborate with group-level teams to align with mandated Azure deployment standards using Terraform and Azure DevOps
Contribute to infrastructure automation and scripting as needed
Troubleshoot complex issues across server, storage, and network layers
Support a general IT environment, with involvement across infrastructure projects

Required Experience

Proven third-line IT support and infrastructure experience
Strong understanding of servers, networking (including VLANs and routing), and storage systems
Experience deploying and managing Azure environments (or AWS with willingness to cross-train)
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools like Azure DevOps
Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a generalist IT role

Desirable

Exposure to AWS, with an interest in developing Azure skills
Previous experience in hybrid infrastructure environments
Broad technical background across multiple IT domains

Location & Working Arrangement

Preferred base: Watford (some flexibility for Horsham-based candidates)
Full-time onsite during 3-month probation
Post-probation: Hybrid model - 2 days work from home per week (non-consecutive), subject to managerial discretion
