DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We’re seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to take ownership of deployment, reliability, and operational performance across a cutting-edge cloud platform. You’ll play a key role in supporting an AI-driven environment, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and continuously improving.

This is a hands-on position that blends infrastructure, security, and software engineering. Alongside managing and scaling cloud systems, you’ll contribute to ISO 27001 certification efforts, embedding security and compliance into everyday engineering practices.

Working closely with engineering and data science teams, you’ll also contribute to a Python codebase and help shape a resilient, production-ready platform.

Key Responsibilities

Platform & DevOps

* Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment

* Manage staging and production environments

* Run and scale containerised workloads (Docker, Kubernetes)

* Monitor system performance (metrics, logs, tracing) and maintain alerting

Engineering

* Develop internal tools and automation

* Support and improve backend services

* Enhance observability and operational performance in application code

* Collaborate with engineers on secure, production-ready development

Security & Compliance

* Maintain and improve the Information Security Management System (ISMS)

* Implement security controls across infrastructure and applications

* Support internal and external ISO 27001 audits

Requirements

Essential

* 3–5 years’ experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering

* Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (AWS preferred)

* Strong Linux systems administration skills

* Strong Python scripting/programming ability

* Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar)

* Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Security & Compliance

* Experience with ISO 27001 (certification, ISMS, or audits)

* Strong understanding of cloud and application security best practices

Engineering

* Experience contributing to production Python codebases

* Understanding of testing, maintainability, and secure coding

Desirable

* Experience running web applications at scale (CDNs, load balancing, auto-scaling)

* Knowledge of networking (VPCs, DNS, TLS/SSL, VPNs)

* Exposure to regulated or scientific environments

* Experience supporting ML/data science workloads
