DevOps Engineer (Defence)

UK Wide - London, Manchester, Leeds, Gloucester (Hybrid)

£45,000 - £60,000 + package

Working with a leading cyber and defence organisation delivering secure, cloud-native platforms across national security and government environments. They're looking for DevOps Engineers to build, automate and scale critical infrastructure supporting high-impact programmes.

The Role

You'll be responsible for engineering and automating cloud infrastructure, enabling fast, secure and reliable delivery across complex environments.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, build and managecloud infrastructure across Azure or GCP
• Implement and maintainInfrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Build and optimiseCI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery
• Supportcontainerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Developautomation scripts (Python, Bash, Shell)
• Work withincross-functional DevOps / SRE teams to improve system reliability and scalability
• ApplyDevOps best practices across monitoring, logging and deployment

What they're looking for

• 2+ years experience inDevOps / Platform Engineering
• Hands-on with:Azure or GCP,Terraform (or similar IaC tools) andCI/CD tooling
• Experience withcontainerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Scripting experience (Python, Bash or similar)
• Solid understanding ofLinux, networking and cloud architecture
• Experience working inAgile environments
• Experience withconfiguration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)

• £45,000 - £60,000 base
