Cambridge, UKA globally recognised technology company specialising in advanced wireless and connected systems is seeking a Chief Product Architect to lead the technical design and architecture of their next generation of high-reliability products. This is a key role shaping innovative solutions that combine hardware, software, and cloud technologies to deliver robust, scalable, and secure communication platforms.
Responsibilities:
Define and lead the overall architecture and technical direction across complex multi-technology products
Translate customer and business requirements into scalable, manufacturable designs
Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies and development methodologies
Collaborate with product managers, design authorities, and engineering leads across disciplines
Mentor and guide technical teams to ensure best practices in architecture, integration, and design
Optimise system performance and ensure long-term scalability and maintainability
Align architecture strategy with broader product and business objectivesSkills & Experience:
10+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in senior architectural or technical leadership roles
Strong background in connected devices or wireless communication systems
Expertise in embedded systems, electronics, RF design, and volume manufacturing
Experience with cellular and short-range wireless technologies (e.g. 4G/5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, IoT)
Familiarity with Linux platforms, cloud environments (AWS, Docker), and modern software development
Proficiency in C++, Python, or Java
