Wheel Loader and Excavator Drivers

We are looking for a Wheel Loader/Excavator Driver to join our team at our Cowdenbeath site on a full time basis. We offer a genuine long term career path and a positive working culture.

Rock Solid Processing Ltd are market leaders in the recovery and recycling of metals and aggregates produced from Waste to Energy Plant Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) throughout Europe.

Our Wheel Loader/ Excavator Drivers ensure that the various material flows from the installation are processed correctly so that the production of the installation does not stagnate. In addition to material handling, our operator assists the installation manager with the daily maintenance of the machines and the SOI.

Your duties will include (but are not restricted to);

  • Being responsible for your own safety and that of colleagues by working within strict health and safety guidelines

  • Driving away the processed material from the various piles and placing it in depot or loading it onto a truck/dumper

  • Driving unprocessed bottom ash to the crane for the reprocessing process

  • Weigh and empty containers of Non-Ferro in depot or on truck

  • Ensuring correct administration of the various material flows

  • Keep the machine in orderly condition and use it correctly and neatly

  • Perform daily maintenance on the machine

  • Monitor the production process and intervene in the event of malfunctions or obstructions or inform the installation manager

  • Able and willing to work off site on other processing campaigns when necessary

  • Help and support the installation manager in the event of malfunctions, repairs or maintenance

  • Help to manually clean the installation at the end of/during the production day

  • Collaborate with colleagues within the installation and the organisation to gain knowledge and experience

  • Taking care of the correct time registration of the machine and yourself

    We are looking for someone who has a technical mind-set and is team orientated. You need to have no fear of heights, be able to become familiar with the weighing system on the shovel and be or become sufficiently familiar with the installation and the production process.

    Salary: £36,000 per annum based on a 48-hour week

    Hours: Full time, Monday – Friday (occasional Saturday)
