SQL DBA - Data heavy platform within the automotive industry - Hybrid

Role - SQL DBA

Type - Fixed term contract (3 months initially)

Salary - £75,000 - £80,000

Location - Hybrid, 2 days per week in the office (Victoria, London) / 3 day remote

Start - ASAP, need to have the ability to start by 8th August

Spec -

PURPOSE OF POST:

Load Testing Plan and Execution
DataOps practices (CI/CD for schema)
Query tuning & execution plan analysis
Governance, auditing, and compliance enforcement
Working with developers to write scalable SQL
Proactive anomaly detection using Query Store or Extended Events QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED BY JOB HOLDER:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a DBA for 5+ years
Strong proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server
Experience with database monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., SQL Profiler, Redgate, SolarWinds)
Hands-on with performance tuning and optimization (PTO)
Experience in backup and recovery best practices
Familiarity with High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) options
Proficiency in T-SQL scripting and automation
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
