Major IT & Digital are delighted to be working with one of UK’s leading IT and telecom business operating across a well-established UK client base. The company has seen rapid growth over the last 4 years, coupled with 25 years specialist industry knowledge within the telecoms and managed services arena.

Are you a forward-thinking Solutions Architect with a strong background in designing and building resilient solutions?

A key requirement of the this role is the ability to design high quality end-to-end solutions that align with my clients business goals, ensuring scalable and secure system architecture with practical ‘hands on’ delivery.

The ideal person will have a solid understanding of network security principles and enterprise architecture design including strong cloud deployment knowledge (AWS or Azure) and DevOps principles experience.

As a solutions focussed architecture you will also be the lead on system design providing industry knowledge on which tools and technologies to recommend for solution builds, whilst providing high quality architectural diagrams and compliance documentation.

Technical knowledge in the following key areas:

  • On-prem and cloud environment including hybrid connectivity and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation/Terraform)

  • IP networking, routing, VLANs, Firewalls and VPNs

  • Load balancing concepts and technologies including failover strategies and clustering

  • Integration of identity systems such as Azure AD, On-prem AD

  • Experience with security and compliance frameworks (ISO27001 and NIST)

  • Systems Integration knowledge including off-the-shelf systems, APIsnd data transformation pipelines.

  • Design and validation of disaster recovery strategies for on-prem and cloud environments

  • Understanding of Information Systems Governance frameworks

    UK driving licence for client visits

    Required to undertake a DBS check
