Solution Architect
📍 Hybrid - Cardiff, with Remote Flexibility
💰 £70,000 - £80,000 + Bonus + Benefits

What You'll Do:

Are you a seasoned developer ready to take that next step into architectural leadership? As a Solution Architect, you'll remain close to the code while shaping scalable, cloud-native solutions and influencing technical strategy across multiple teams.

You'll work closely with engineers, product leads, and stakeholders to design service-oriented and event-driven architectures that solve real business challenges. This is a great opportunity for a Principal Developer looking to grow into a more strategic, high-impact role-without losing touch with hands-on delivery.

What You'll Bring:

Strong background in software development and solution design, ideally within cloud-first environments (AWS preferred)

Practical experience designing distributed systems and leading on architectural decisions

Hands-on familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), DevOps, and modern CI/CD pipelines

Excellent coding standards, documentation practices, and technical mentoring skills

A passion for scalable, secure, and well-governed systems

Confidence in translating complex technical ideas to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders

Why You Should Apply:

This role blends architectural influence with practical development leadership. It's ideal for someone looking to evolve beyond senior engineering into broader technical ownership-without stepping too far away from delivery. You'll join a forward-thinking team, benefit from flexible hybrid working, and have a clear pathway for growth.
