Software Automation QA Engineer

On-site in Loughton IG10

We are seeking a talented Software Automation QA Engineer to join a growing technology team within a well-established financial services organisation. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies, influence testing processes, and contribute directly to software quality across both front-end and back-end systems.

The Role
As part of a collaborative QA team, you will:

  • Enhance and maintain an existing Selenium test suite using C# and SpecFlow (Reqnroll).

  • Debug and fix automated tests, ensuring high coverage and reliability.

  • Test web applications across multiple browsers, devices, and platforms.

  • Perform API debugging and validation using tools such as Postman (desirable).

  • Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

  • Ensure timely releases through proactive identification and resolution of issues.

    Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in Selenium with C#

  • Proven use of SpecFlow/Reqnroll (BDD framework)

  • Knowledge of Page Object Model design patterns

  • Strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and independent working style

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

    Desirable Skills

  • API testing/debugging experience (Postman or similar)

  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern QA practices
