Hybrid (3 days onsite) - Leeds City Centre or Liverpool

This is a great opportunity to join a well‑established digital team working with impressive clients across multiple sectors. With offices in prime Leeds city centre and Liverpool, you'll enjoy a fantastic working environment, great culture, and a genuinely collaborative atmosphere.

This role suits someone who thrives in a busy, creative environment and enjoys building high‑quality, scalable Shopify solutions, both on the storefront and at system level.

The Role

As a Senior Shopify Developer, you'll be a key part of a dedicated development team delivering cutting‑edge Shopify builds, custom themes, and high‑performing eCommerce features. Although the role is primarily frontend‑focused, you'll also collaborate with backend developers to support Shopify app development and contribute to more complex system integrations when needed.

You'll work closely with designers, PMs, and fellow developers, bringing strong technical ownership and a problem‑solving mindset to each project.

What You'll Be Doing

Developing and customising Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Implementing new features that enhance UX, performance, and conversion
Integrating APIs and third‑party services to expand store functionality
Ensuring stores are optimised for performance, reliability, and SEO
Supporting backend work (PHP/Laravel) for Shopify app maintenance and enhancements
Diagnosing and resolving complex Shopify‑related issues
Participating in code reviews and knowledge‑sharing
Contributing to sprint planning, task estimation, and delivery within an Agile setup

What We're Looking For

You're a confident Shopify specialist who writes clean, maintainable code and enjoys owning tasks while working closely with others.

You'll likely have:

2-3+ years of professional Shopify development experience
Strong skills in Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Experience with Shopify APIs and custom integrations
Practical exposure to PHP/Laravel for app‑level support
Good understanding of responsive design and browser compatibility
Experience working in Agile teams (Scrum, Kanban)
Familiarity with tools like Jira, Trello, or Asana
Solid understanding of Git and collaborative workflows

Nice to Have

Experience with Shopify Hydrogen/Oxygen or headless commerce
Knowledge of React frameworks (Remix, Next.js)
Experience with Theme App Extensions
Strong grasp of performance optimisation & Core Web Vitals
Experience with PageSpeed Insights improvements
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments

Why This Role Stands Out

Hybrid working (3 days onsite in Leeds or Liverpool)
Work with ambitious brands on complex Shopify builds
Join a decent‑sized, supportive dev team with strong engineering standards
Clear progression opportunities
Modern office locations with a great atmosphere and work culture
Opportunities to develop your skills in both frontend and Shopify app development

If you're a Senior Shopify Developer who loves creating high‑quality eCommerce experiences and wants to grow your skills in a fast‑moving environment, this role could be a great fit

Where to Advertise Cloud Computing Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise cloud computing jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards and channels that reach AWS, Azure, GCP and cloud-native engineering talent. The candidate pool is large relative to other deep tech disciplines but highly segmented — cloud architects, DevOps engineers, platform engineers, FinOps specialists and cloud security professionals each occupy distinct communities with different job search behaviours, certification profiles and salary expectations. General job boards reach a broad audience but struggle to differentiate between these disciplines, producing high application volumes but low candidate quality for specialist cloud roles. This guide, published by CloudComputingJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise cloud computing roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.
