The role:

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deliver end-to-end data migration solutions into Dynamics 365 (CE and/or F&O).

  • Lead data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and loading activities from legacy systems.

  • Develop and maintain migration frameworks using SSIS (KingswaySoft) and Azure Data Factory.

  • Define and implement data mapping, transformation logic, and migration rules in collaboration with functional teams.

  • Plan and execute migration cycles including dry runs, rehearsals, and production cutovers.

  • Ensure data quality, integrity, reconciliation, and auditability throughout the migration lifecycle.

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex data and performance issues.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers where required.

  • Engage directly with clients, clearly communicating progress, risks, and recommendations.

  • Contribute to best practices, standards, and reusable migration assets.

    Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in data migration projects, specifically migrating data into Microsoft Dynamics 365.

  • Strong hands-on expertise with SSIS, including KingswaySoft Integration Toolkit.

  • Experience building and orchestrating pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).

  • Azure ecosystem experience (Azure SQL, Blob Storage, DevOps).

  • Strong SQL skills (querying, performance tuning, data validation).

  • Experience working with complex data models, large datasets, and multiple source systems.

  • Solid understanding of data quality, reconciliation, and migration governance.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of migration deliverables.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

    Desirable Experience

  • Experience with Dynamics 365 CE and/or Finance & Operations data models.

  • Working Knowledge with Azure Synapse Analytics / Python.

  • Exposure to modern data platforms and tooling (e.g. lakehouse architectures, cloud-native ELT tools, and emerging data engineering technologies).

  • Familiarity with Agile or project-based delivery environments.

  • Prior experience working in consultancy or client-facing delivery roles.

  • Familiarity with evolving best practices in cloud data engineering and modern data architectures.
