An immediate, permanent requirement for a Cambridge-based developer of automated cloud infrastructure, possessing full existing UK work permission without time limit or sponsorship.

This is a market-leading company operating a portfolio of secure and reliable services. Their friendly team includes cloud engineers, developers, product owners and testers. Infrastructure is automated for fast and effective deployment using AWS, IaC, Terraform, Python, C#, bash and Docker.

You will have:

  • Extensive experience with AWS, Terraform, API management, serverless compute, Docker containers, Python / C#, bash, Git, database administration and networking.

  • Worked on a single organisation’s complex cloud systems for a sustained period, as you show in your CV, noting the evolution over time, your contributions to the architecture, and challenges encountered.

  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, able to clearly and concisely explain complex topics, as demonstrated by your CV.

  • Enjoyed finding ingenious, reliable and secure solutions, learning new skills, adopting new technologies, and troubleshooting.

You will be seeking a permanent role, to grow your career with a single company for years to come. As mentioned, you will need full existing UK work permission. Time limited visas cannot be accepted and sponsorship is not available. The company’s strong preference is for someone who resides local to Cambridge; in any event, applicants looking to commute long distances to attend meetings cannot practically be considered.

Hybrid working options are available where projects permit. The role does have an on-call requirement for emergencies only, one week in four, though calls are rare. Salary is competitive and will depend on experience.

Please note that course, we always get your permission before submitting your CV to a company.
