Software Tester – TypeScript / Playwright / CucumberJS

Remote (HQ Manchester) | £60,000–£65,000 + Benefits

We’re after a Software Tester who can go beyond “click and check”. Someone who actually understands code, can build automated tests that matter, and wants to shape how quality is done across product teams.

You’ll be testing front to back — from APIs to UI and performance — using a modern TypeScript stack. The setup’s slick, the engineers care about quality, and testing is built into the pipeline, not bolted on at the end.

What you’ll be working with:

API: TypeScript, Jest, CucumberJS

*

UI: TypeScript, Playwright, CucumberJS

*

Performance: TypeScript, k6 (nice to have, not essential)

*

Frontend stack exposure: React, Next.js, Material UI, Tailwind

*

Modern CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, everything versioned and clean

You’ll be part of a testing guild, working alongside another tester within your squad — collaborating, sharing ideas, and challenging the “we’ve always done it that way” mindset that slows teams down.

Why join:

*

Fully remote (Manchester HQ if you like face time)

*

Product-led culture with strong engineering standards

*

Collaborative testing community across teams

*

High-performing squad that actually values quality
