Quality Assurance Engineer

Manual role

Up to 48k

Bristol - Hybrid, very flexible

I am working with a SaaS client who is looking for a skilled manual tester to join their team.

They are looking for someone who puts quality first and maintains excellent standards and best practice in testing.

You will be working within a scrum team, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency.

You will be involved with black box testing, exploratory testing, database testing, API testing, UI Testing, performance testing, Security testing, Usability testing amongst others.

The successful candidate will be a confident communicator that promotes excellence and puts quality first.

This is an environment where quality is absolutely key, and the business appreciates the importance of testing as a function to ensure the products are ready for release.

There is an auto team who you will communicate and collaborate with for increasing efficiency, but your role is manually focused.

Responsibilities:

Involved throughout the entire STLC

Collaboration with internal stakeholders and scrum teams

Ensure regular deployment

Regular contributions to sprints, and refinement

Be an advocate for quality

Keep up to date on best practice, and latest technologies

Functional and Non Functional experience

Identify opportunities for automation to increase efficiency

Maintain test environments

Essential:

Manual automation experience - at least 3 years minimum, ideally 5 years or more

Experience with various testing types - Black box, Regression, Smoke, Exploratory, Database testing, API testing and more.

Experience in root cause analysis of issues.

Confident communication - being an advocate for best practice and quality.

Experience working throughout the entire SDLC and STLC.

Strong documentation skills

Appreciation of UI and UX

Jira, TestRail or other test management and defect tracking software

Postman

Web and Mobile Testing Experience.

Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.

Desirable:

ISTQB / ISEB certification

Knowledge, understanding, or experience with:

Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.

JMeter, Gatling

Cloud - AWS or Azure

Postman

SQL
