Salary: Competitive

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 08:30am – 17:30pm and Friday 08:00 – 17:00.

Location: Hilsea Portsmouth

QVIS Lighting and Security is a family-owned business based in Hilsea, Portsmouth and is a leading provider of CCTV, LED Lighting and Smart Home products. With a 20-year history, QVIS distribute recognised brands through established routes to market.

At QVIS Lighting and Security we are looking to recruit a Production Operative to join our busy team. The successful candidate will report to the Production Manager and will be responsible for: component change overs (emergency, dimming etc) as well as RMA repairs and reworks and to provide technical support after initial training.

​Responsibilities - Production Operative

  • Assist with the assembly of lighting components

  • Ensure products are coded correctly for customers

  • Assist in the packaging of orders in preparation for delivery to customers and associated paperwork

  • Assist in LED production and project completion

  • Maintain and promote a clean and organised working environment

  • Check the quality of the products to ensure they meet our customers specifications

  • Adhere to strict electrical health and safety instructions and processes

  • Provide support to warehouse during peak times to include picking, packing, and unloading containers from overseas suppliers

    Skills & experience - Production Operative

  • Electrical experience desirable but not essential as training will be provided for the successful candidate

  • Experience in a production environment would be advantageous

  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual

  • Excellent organisation skills

  • Experience using SAP desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided
