Job Title: IT Infrastructure Engineer

📍 Location: Watford (Hybrid – 3 Days Office / 2 Days Home)

💰 Salary: £41,000 – £45,000 + Excellent Benefits

This is more than just another IT Infrastructure Engineer role. You’ll be joining a national player in the construction and engineering sector — a business delivering critical infrastructure across the UK, now bringing that same mindset to its own IT environment.

🛠️ Your Role as IT Infrastructure Engineer:

As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll play a key part in managing enterprise-scale infrastructure, supporting cloud migration projects, and enhancing network stability and performance. Working closely with a hands-on IT Manager, your day-to-day will be varied, impactful, and always forward-looking.

đź”§ Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and enhance cloud and on-premise IT infrastructure (Azure, data centres)

Proactively monitor and manage LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi networks

Support cloud migration and infrastructure automation projects

Write and execute scripts using PowerShell and Terraform

Deliver system upgrades, backups, and day-to-day maintenance

Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, network outages, and firewall changes

Work within a structured ticketing system (Hornbill)

🎯 What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure Engineer or similar role

Strong background in Azure and cloud platforms

Solid experience with network management and monitoring

Comfortable scripting in PowerShell

Understanding of automation tools like Terraform

🎓 Nice to Have:

ITIL Foundation certification

CCNA or other relevant networking qualifications
