Electrical Supervisor I Permanent I Speke, Liverpool

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead a growing workshop team in Liverpool, where you’ll combine technical Electrical expertise with team leadership to deliver high-quality workshop services.
This is a hands-on supervisory role, ideal for someone with strong industrial/commercial electrical experience and a background in team leadership. The role combines planning and coordination responsibilities with mentoring and supervising a small but growing team, currently made up of Electricians, Assemblers, and Drivers.
The ideal candidate will be organised, solutions-focused, and able to maintain high standards across electrical compliance, installation quality, and workshop output.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate electrical and mechanical workloads in the workshop, scheduling jobs, resources and priorities in line with project deadlines.
  • Lead a small team (currently 3–5 staff, growing to 7), providing day-to-day support, direction, and oversight.
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with BS7671 and company standards, completing electrical testing and certification accurately and on time.
  • Oversee electrical and mechanical installations in control containers, ensuring they meet IEE regulations and project specifications.
  • Support calibration of electrical test equipment and maintain a strong focus on health and safety within the team.
  • Monitor HGV driver hours and services, ensuring compliance with driving regulations.
  • Work closely with the wider branch and operational teams to support material orders, transport logistics, and productivity goals.
    Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience in a supervisory electrical role, ideally in a commercial, construction or utilities-based environment.
  • Experience completing electrical test certificates to BS7671 and overseeing electrical installation works.
  • ECS Gold Card (Installation Electrician) and City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification (or willingness to work towards).
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong understanding of workshop processes, purchasing and inventory management.
  • Confident problem-solver who can maintain standards and support team performance.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
