Day Operator – Join an Industry-Leading Production Team

Location: Pencaitland, Tranent
Salary: £29,000 - £29,500 + overtime and 1k in Cover bonus 
Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, bonus, company vehicle

Are you ready to join a reputable production environment with a global reach? We are looking for a Day Operator to oversee essential operations in a dynamic and fast-paced production setting. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a company with a proud history in the industry and a future focused on growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Maltings and Silo Operations: Manage steeping, germination, and kilning processes. Monitor and adjust parameters to meet quality standards.

Silo Management: Oversee grain movements, sample and manage pesticide dosing, and ensure all records comply with safety and quality procedures.

Production Monitoring: Assist in the production of malt residual pellets, barley screenings, and collaborate with site management to troubleshoot any issues.

Operations & Maintenance: Work with engineering teams on machine maintenance and perform basic operational tasks. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Harvest & Waste Management: Operate machinery including forklifts, scissor lifts, and effluent plants. Conduct harvesting operations and maintain cleanliness across the site.

Dispatch & Logistics: Manage product dispatch, prepare export containers, and liaise with commercial teams for product collection.

About You:

Experience in Industrial Environments: Previous exposure manufacutirng in a machine operator role
