Your new role
The Enterprise Architect - Cloud Architecture is a senior strategic role responsible for shaping and leading the cloud architecture strategy. The role sits within the Strategic Architecture team and focusses on aligning cloud technologies with business goals, ensuring consistency, innovation, and long-term value.

What you'll need to succeed

Lead and manage a segment of the strategic architecture team, ensuring effective resource allocation across business and technology areas.
Oversee the quality and consistency of architectural outputs, including visions, roadmaps, and technical specifications.
Drive architectural engagement across one or more business or technology domains.
Partner with senior stakeholders to shape strategic direction and define future-state architecture.
Maintain and evolve the cloud architecture vision and roadmap.
Contribute to investment case development and whole-life costing for IT and business change initiatives.
Collaborate with innovation teams to identify opportunities for emerging technologies and secure executive sponsorship for pilots and proofs of concept.
Establish and maintain architectural standards and patterns to guide implementation across operational and technology domains.
Ensure end-to-end service designs are aligned with strategic goals, architectural principles, and governance frameworks.
Provide architectural assurance, challenge assumptions where necessary, and mentor team members to promote best practices.
Support procurement processes by contributing to tender documentation and evaluating suppliers and solutions.
Actively contribute to the development of the architecture profession within the organisation by sharing insights and expertise.
Proven experience in enterprise or cloud architecture leadership.
Ability to set domain-level guardrails and architectural direction.
Experience mentoring and developing other architects.
Holds a technical degree or equivalent experience.
