DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a Devops Engineer to join a Technology department of a company based in Warrington. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling the build and release of software products to QA, staging and live environments.

Description

Manage the source code repository and branching strategy.
Develop and maintain build scripts for the software products.
Deploy software applications to QA, staging and live environments.
Work closely with the development team to resolve any issues that arise during the build and release process.
Document the build and release process and any changes made.
Monitor the software applications in the live environment and troubleshoot any issues.
Participate in meetings to discuss the progress of the builds and releases.
Keep up-to-date with the latest tools and technologies in the field of release engineering.Profile

A successful Devops Engineer should have:

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience as a Release Manager or similar role, preferably in a SaaS environment.

Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and release management best practices.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI ).

Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Experience with version control systems.

Understanding of agile methodologies.

AWS certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or working experience

Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.
