Technical Degree Apprenticeship – Unisys

Unisys is offering an exciting opportunity to join our four-year Technical Degree Apprenticeship Programme, designed for ambitious individuals looking to kickstart their careers in tech.

Based full-time at our Milton Keynes office, you'll gain hands-on experience across technical support and software development, while studying one day a week at university toward a recognised degree qualification.

This is a unique chance to earn while you learn, develop practical industry skills, and be part of a supportive global tech company that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous growth.

The Role:

• Develops knowledge and skills within a particular area or discipline.
• Performs work assignments under the direction of a supervisor, manager or senior-level associate.
• May work on an alternating (i.e., every other semester) or temporary basis, attending school or vocational training during periods of non-work.
• Develops knowledge and skills within a technical discipline (i.e., technical support, software development, data analysis and reporting, networking. / infrastructure support, DevSecOps / cloud support). Typical duties may fall into an area as described below.

Technical Support
• Assisting with troubleshooting hardware or software issues.
• Helping resolve network connectivity problems or assisting with system configurations.
• Supporting IT with management of company devices.

Software Development
• Writing basic code or scrips for internal tools and projects.
• Helping test software for bugs.
• Contributing to or participating in code reviews – learning version control and secure coding practices.

Data Analysis & Reporting
• Assisting with data collection, cleaning and analysis.
• Creating reports, dashboards or visualizations (i.e., with Excel or PowerPoint).

Networking and Infrastructure Support
• Assisting with the installation and configuration of network hardware.
• Helping monitor network performance and identify potential issues.
• Assisting with troubleshooting hardware, security and other concerns.

DevSecOps
• Assisting with automation of routine tasks using scripts or programming tools.
• Assisting with cloud infrastructure management.
• Supporting continuous integration/ delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and helping deploy applications.

In addition to the above
• May help with general project coordination and progress tracking.
• May assist with research and compiling information for reports and presentations.
• May compile and organize information in support of general work group or project activity.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Previous A Levels Required required
Generally, less than 1 years’ experience in area of responsibility
