Location: East Midlands Airport, Castle Donington (DE74 2TR)

Full time contract: TEMP-PERM OPPORTUNITY!! (40-hour weeks)

Shift Pattern: Friday - Monday 19:00-05:30 (4 days 40 hours) or Monday - Friday 21:00-05:30 (5 days 40 hours)

Salary: Weekdays £15.79 p/h Weekends £16.97 p/h (overtime £23.50p/h After 40 hours worked).

Requirements:

As you will be handling secured freight, to comply with CAA and DFT regulation, you must be willing to undergo a background check. This will include referencing your last 5 year's work history and applying for a criminal record check. (We take care of this for you FREE of charge!)

What We're Looking For

A full and clean UK driving license (essential)
A valid Cargo Operative certificate (if you do not have one, we will provide the training free of charge)
Ability to work a variety of shifts (including nights, weekends, bank holidays)
Strong team player with good communication skills
Previous ramp or air-side experience desirable, but not essential (full training provided)
Eligibility to work in the UK and pass aviation security vetting, including a criminal record check and five-year background verification
Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces.
Pass a Medical assessment and be able to pass a drugs and alcohol screening test

Key Responsibilities:

Loading and unloading containers and loose cargo from aircraft
Operating ground support equipment (GSE) including tugs and belt loaders
Aircraft marshaling and choking
Ensuring adherence to airside safety and security regulations
Carrying out visual inspections of cargo and reporting discrepancies
Supporting on-time departures in coordination with flight and warehouse teams
