We are looking for passionate technologists to join us on our mission to create a zero carbon, zero bill, zero friction future for our customers. Our internal venture studio is where we turn groundbreaking ideas into reality. We're not just building digital solutions; we're architecting a sustainable energy future. We're seeking experienced technical leaders who thrive on solving complex puzzles, embracing the unknown, and designing scalable systems that make a real-world impact.

Here's a taste of what you'll be doing

  • Design scalable architectures: Architect robust, flexible, and scalable technical solutions for our 0-1 new ventures, ensuring they are built for future growth.

  • Execute Experiments: Build rapid prototypes and technical Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate technological feasibility and drastically speed up time-to-market.

  • Digital Leadership: Leading and managing the approval of the venture technology, data and security choices through the necessary business approval processes

  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work hand-in-hand with Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIRs), product managers, and developers and other product teams, both internally and from suppliers to translate business requirements into clear technical blueprints.

  • Evaluate technologies: Assess and select the right modern tech stacks, third-party tools, and cloud infrastructure to give our new ventures a competitive edge.

  • Handover to the Business: Lead the hand-over of development and maintenance work to the relevant teams at the end of our Accelerate phase

  • Ensure security & compliance: Build secure-by-design architectures that adhere to data protection standards, navigating the complexities of the energy sector.

  • Guide technical strategy: Support the venture teams in making critical technical trade-offs and assist in preparing technical roadmaps for investment pitches.

Are we the perfect match?

  • Architectural Mastery: You have a proven track record of designing modern, cloud-native applications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and a deep understanding of microservices and API-first designs.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: You can untangle complex technical requirements, anticipate bottlenecks, and map out clear, elegant, and practical solutions.

  • Experience with lean startup methodologies: You're familiar with rapid prototyping and iterative development, and you know how to balance "perfect" architecture with the need for speed.

  • Expert Communicator: You have the innate to explain complex technical concepts in an easy to understand and structured method to business stakeholders

  • A self-starter: You have a bias for action, aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and write code when needed, and have a relentless focus on achieving results.

It would be great if you had

  • Knowledge experience and in-depth understanding of tools like AI/ML, Digital Twins, etc as well as an appreciation of emerging technologies

  • A good working knowledge of the technology landscape of the Energy Sector

  • The experience of working with external suppliers of Digital Solutions

We encourage you to apply if you have a passion for building disruptive solutions and shaping the future of innovation!

Where to Advertise Cloud Computing Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Advertising cloud computing jobs in the UK requires a different approach to most technical hiring. The candidate pool is large relative to other deep tech disciplines but highly segmented — cloud architects, DevOps engineers, platform engineers, FinOps specialists and cloud security professionals each occupy distinct communities with different job search behaviours, certification profiles and salary expectations. General job boards reach a broad audience but struggle to differentiate between these disciplines, producing high application volumes but low candidate quality for specialist cloud roles. This guide, published by CloudComputingJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise cloud computing roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.

Cloud Computing Jobs UK 2026: What to Expect Over the Next 3 Years

Cloud computing is the infrastructure layer on which the modern digital economy runs — and the jobs market that has grown around it is one of the largest, most sustained, and most structurally resilient in the entire technology sector. But the cloud computing jobs market of 2026 looks quite different from the one that existed three years ago, and the next three years will bring further change at a pace that rewards those who understand the direction of travel. The migration phase that defined cloud hiring for much of the previous decade is largely complete for enterprise organisations. The question for most UK businesses is no longer whether to move to the cloud but how to operate, optimise, and secure what they have already built there — and how to integrate the wave of AI capability that is now being delivered primarily through cloud infrastructure. That shift has profound implications for which cloud skills are in demand, which roles are growing, and which are beginning to plateau. At the same time, new architectural patterns — multi-cloud, cloud-native, serverless, and the growing integration of edge computing with centralised cloud infrastructure — are creating entirely new categories of specialist expertise that employers are actively competing to hire. The cloud computing jobs market of 2026 is not contracting. It is evolving, and evolving in ways that create significant opportunity for job seekers who are building the right skills. This article breaks down what the UK cloud computing jobs market is likely to look like through to 2028 — covering the titles emerging right now, the technologies driving employer demand, the skills that will matter most, and how to position your career ahead of the curve.
