Technical Business Analyst – Data Migration – SC Cleared
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Technical Business Analyst to support a strategic data migration programme. This work involves migrating complex data models from Oracle Database to AWS workloads, reviewing and refining requirements, and ensuring data products are delivered accurately for reporting and analytics. You will act as a bridge between business and technical stakeholders, working closely with engineers, architects, and product teams.
Key Responsibilities

SQL Data Model Analysis – Analyse Oracle SQL and AWS Athena data models; write and run SQL queries to validate structures and business logic.
Requirement Review & Refinement – Review, refine, and maintain requirements based on current-state analysis and stakeholder input.
Workshops & Stakeholder Collaboration – Facilitate workshops with business users, data engineers, and architects to translate needs into technical specifications.
Cloud Migration Support – Contribute to migration from Oracle to AWS, identifying gaps, risks, and dependencies.
Agile Delivery – Translate business rules into user stories, manage requirements in Jira, and support iterative delivery.Required Skills & Experience

8+ years as a Technical Business Analyst in data platforms or migration projects.
Strong SQL proficiency (Oracle SQL and AWS Athena).
Hands-on experience with data model analysis, requirement capture, and refinement.
Proven track record in cloud migration projects, ideally involving AWS.
Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and reporting solutions.
Excellent communication skills; able to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Agile/Scrum experience.Desirable

AWS certifications (e.g. Data Analytics, Solutions Architect).
Experience with BI tools.
Knowledge of government digital delivery standards (GDS)
