Software Engineer (VR / Unity)

Avanti Recruitment is currently working with an early-stage start-up company who are developing next-generation human computer interaction. They are now hiring for a Software Engineer to lead the creation of their platform.

This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing start-up at an early stage and influence the technical direction of the SDKs, APIs and integration.

They are backed by leading innovators, and building a team of exceptional engineers to bring the product to market and shape the way people interact with technology.

You will work closely with both internal engineering teams and external developers, ensuring seamless adoption of their technology across multiple platforms such as Unity, Snap Lens Studio and mobile/web environments.

Your day to day responsibilities:

• Building and maintaining SDKs, APIs and plugins across multiple platforms
  
  
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation and developer resources
  
  
• Collaborating with hardware and product teams for integration
  
  
• Contributing to R&D to help shape the future of immersive tech
  
  Essential experience:
  
  
• Experience developing SDKs, and ideally public APIs
  
  
• C# Unity, JavaScript/TypeScript and Python
  
  
• Experience with AR/VR platforms (ideally Snap Lens Studio)
  
  
• CI/CD and automated testing
  
  
• Documentation experience and strong communication skills
  
  
• Must have start-up / Scale-up experience and understand this isn’t your typical 9-5
  
  Desirable skills:
  
  
• Exposure to firmware engineering
  
  
• Contributions to open-source projects
  
  
• Mobile SDKs (iOS / Android)
  
  The salary for this role is up to £60,000 maximum, plus generous equity
