Software Developer (.Net / Python)

Birmingham based - Hybrid (1 day per week in office)

We're working with an innovative technology business looking for aC# / .NET Software Engineer to join their team and help build and evolve their logistics software platform.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoysowning projects from idea through to delivery, solving complex problems and working across both software engineering and data science.

You'll be hands-on across the full development lifecycle - from understanding the problem and designing the solution through to building, testing and deploying it into production.

You'll work primarily withC#/.NET, Entity Framework Core and relational databases, with exposure todata science, algorithms and Python also forming part of the role.

• Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET
• Experience with Entity Framework Core and MySQL/PostgreSQL
• Experience working on and improving production codebases
• Strong software engineering fundamentals - OOP, testing, debugging and clean code
• Proven experience owning and delivering a project end-to-end
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to understand the wider business problem
• An interest in or experience with data science, algorithms or statistical modelling
• Some experience with Python would be highly desirable

• Angular or React
• AWS / cloud technologies
• Linux and command-line tooling
• Experience designing scalable, efficient algorithms
• Strong mathematical or statistical background
