This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

Do you have an extensive background in delivering strategic outcomes for security and compliance and a passion for working with customers to solve complex technical challenges to help them safely transition workloads to the cloud?

Increasingly, companies are using AWS to move their core business applications to the cloud. AWS is looking for passionate and experienced security professionals to work with these customers to help guide their vision, address risks and implement their security, resilience, and compliance strategies on the AWS platform. This role will provide thought leadership and operate with a high degree of autonomy and visibility as part of our worldwide specialist team. This role will be located in the United States and have global responsibilities working with sales, product marketing and product management. The role will focus on providing Technical Thought Leadership for the Communication Developer Services organization.

This role will advise and deliver strategic outcomes across a wide range of industry sectors and challenging environments.

This key position requires broad industry experience and will have high visibility at the most senior levels of customer organizations, including frequent interaction with customer board, their staff, and AWS senior leadership. The position, as part of the AWS worldwide specialist organization, will act as the security interface with AWS customers and service teams working closely with AWS Sales and Solutions Architect teams. The candidate will already have and continue to foster key relationships, be able to interpret the impacts of industry and regulatory changes, and track and report on industry trends.


Key job responsibilities
- Design and deliver technical workshops that accelerate technology adoption and customer enablement across email, SMS, WhatsApp, and push notification channels
- Create comprehensive best practices documentation and implementation guides for multi-channel communication strategies
- Direct AWS Solutions Architects, Sales, and Partner teams across multiple engagements within each customer to drive targeted outcomes and consistent advice and outcomes
- Develop industry leading customer-facing resources based on projected customer needs and current demand
- Develop and maintain personal relationships with key industry personnel and policy makers.

Looking for candidates with:
- Experience in a customer-facing, sales-aligned role such as consultant, solutions engineer or solutions architect.
- Experience implementing cloud services including migrations and modernization projects or similar
- Experience with Amazon SES, AWS End User Messaging, or multi-channel communication platforms
- Experience with email deliverability, SMS messaging, WhatsApp Business API, or push notification services-- A background working in a regulated industry such as financial services, healthcare, and public sector is a plus.
