Senior Software Engineer

Stockport| Hybrid 2-3 Days | £60-80,000

This is a product engineering role in a company quietly becoming the operating system for a very traditional, very global industry.

Their software runs live, real-world operations.

If it breaks, people notice.

If it works well, thousands of users rely on it daily.

They’ve standardised on a modern TypeScript + AWS stack and are scaling properly — not reactively.

This isn’t a consultancy. It isn’t internal IT.

It’s a product business with global customers and genuine engineering ownership.

We have multiple opportunities as we scale from Junior to Senior Engineer

The Stack

* TypeScript (front + backend)

* React

* Node / NestJS

* AWS (ECS, Lambda, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, Cognito)

* MongoDB Atlas

* Infrastructure as Code (CDK)

* CI/CD, testing and observability as standard

They deploy properly.

They monitor properly.

They review properly.

What Makes It Interesting

* Software that interacts with physical, real-world operations

* A business modernising an industry that historically hasn’t moved fast

* Cross-functional teams that own features end-to-end

* Engineers involved in design decisions, not just delivery

* High standards without corporate red tape

You’ll be building systems that need to be reliable, observable and scalable.

Why It’s Worth a Look

* Modern stack with intent behind it

* Real product ownership

* Equity included

* Flexible hybrid working

* A business with strong momentum and global growth

If you want a safer corporate role, this isn’t it.

If you want to build meaningful software properly — let’s talk

This guide, published by CloudComputingJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise cloud computing roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.
