VIQU has partnered with a large, established UK organisation that is investing in a brand-new enterprise AI platform. This is an opportunity to get involved in a major AI platform initiative, working on cloud infrastructure, automation and reusable engineering standards rather than purely maintaining existing systems. • Build and enhance Azure landing zones, networking and cloud foundations.
• Support containerised workloads using Kubernetes, AKS and Azure Container Apps.
• Implement secure, automated CI/CD pipelines and cloud governance standards.
• Help develop the infrastructure required to support enterprise AI agents and workloads.
• Work closely with architects, security teams and stakeholders to deliver production ready solutions.
• Support technical standards, code reviews and mentoring within the engineering team.
• Contribute to platform monitoring, reliability and security improvements.
Key Requirements of the Senior Cloud Engineer - AI Platform
• Strong commercial experience in senior-level Azure cloud or platform engineering.
• Excellent hands-on Terraform skills, including module and template development.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, landing zones and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Kubernetes, AKS or Azure Container Apps.
• Practical experience with automation, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of cloud security, governance and scalable infrastructure design.
• Experience owning technical delivery and working with wider engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex infrastructure challenges.
• Genuine interest in AI technologies and developing cloud infrastructure for AI workloads.
