Synapri are partnering a luxury property and leisure company who are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join on a full time basis! The role will primarily focus on the development, enhancement, and support of a range of different products while having the opportunity to work within a smaller IT function with full autonomy across the backend suite.

The role requires proven and demonstrable experience of delivering sizeable .NET applications to production. Extensive knowledge of both .NET and C# are also essential to ensure continued development of solutions and products for all brands across the client’s group. Please see below for more information!

Salary: £80,000-£90,000

Location: 5 days onsite in Central London

What you’ll be doing:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs using .NET and C#

  • Providing solutions for a range of web technologies such as Next.js and React.js and Native App technologies including iOS and Android

  • Contributing to system architecture discussions and solution design

  • Writing clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices

  • Collaborating with frontend developers, QA, and product teams to deliver robust solutions

  • Optimising performance and ensuring security across applications

    What we’re looking for:

  • Strong commercial experience with .NET (Core/Framework) and C# including LINQ, JSON and Inversion of Control

  • Solid understanding of API design (REST, GraphQL desirable)

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure)

  • Good knowledge of software design principles (SOLID, clean architecture, microservices)

  • Must have a solid understanding on the fundamentals of Event-Driven Architecture, including the roles of APIs, Webhooks and Integration Platforms such as Zapier and make.it

  • Understanding of the principles behind Infrastructure as Code (ideally Terraform) and its use in CI/CD Pipeline based deployment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
