6-Month contract - Inside IR35 - up to £630 per day

London based - hybrid working - 2/3 days on site

Must either have current NPPV3 or held previously

Summary

Salesforce Tech Lead / Lead Developer with 5+ years' experience delivering complex, production‑quality Salesforce solutions across the full development lifecycle, from discovery and design through build, test, deployment, and live support.

Ideally experienced in public sector delivery, operating within structured governance, assurance, and security constraints, and comfortable working within Agile delivery models.

A strong communicator and engineering leader, capable of engaging effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, translating business requirements into clear technical solutions, and providing accurate estimates, delivery forecasts, and clear status updates throughout the lifecycle.

Highly motivated with a proactive problem‑solving mindset, able to identify issues early, drive resolution, and actively manage technical and delivery risks to protect quality, timelines, and outcomes. Demonstrates a strong personal commitment to engineering excellence, code quality, and continuous improvement.

Hands‑on contributor with a proven track record of leading by example, supporting design elaboration, conducting peer reviews, mentoring junior developers, and driving consistent standards across teams and environments.

Key Responsibilities & Capabilities

Engineering Leadership & Delivery

Lead and contribute to the design and build of scalable, secure Salesforce solutions, ensuring alignment to architectural standards and best practices.
Provide clear technical leadership, supporting solution design, breaking down complex requirements, and guiding implementation approaches.
Own and contribute to accurate estimation of development effort, proactively managing dependencies, assumptions, and delivery risks.
Maintain clear and timely communication with delivery leads, product owners, and stakeholders, providing progress updates, risks, and mitigation actions.Quality & Problem Solving

Drive a strong quality‑first engineering culture, ensuring solutions are well‑designed, testable, maintainable, and production‑ready.
Identify and resolve technical issues early, escalating risks appropriately and proposing pragmatic, value‑focused solutions.
Actively contribute to peer code reviews, ensuring consistency, performance, security, and maintainability standards are met.
Support continuous improvement of development practices, tooling, and ways of working.

Collaboration & Mentoring

Work closely with architects, testers, Dev/DevOps, and product teams to ensure end‑to‑end delivery success.
Mentor and guide junior team members, supporting skills development, knowledge sharing, and technical confidence.
Contribute positively to Agile ceremonies, design workshops, and planning sessions, helping teams deliver predictably and transparently.

Specific Skills & Experience Sought

Salesforce core configuration, including objects, fields, validation rules, sharing rules, and Lightning page layouts
Salesforce Service Cloud configuration
Experience Cloud site design and build
Advanced Flow (low‑code) design and optimisation
Confident working with Apex (pro‑code) to extend platform capability where appropriate
Familiarity with custom Lightning Web Component (LWC) development
Experience with unmanaged packaging and SFDX / Git‑based source control, including deployment across multi‑sandbox environmentsDisclaimer:
