The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for aSalesforce Developer to join a growing technology team, playing a key role in the design, development, and enhancement of enterprise Salesforce solutions.

This hands-on position is ideal for a developer with strong Salesforce platform experience who enjoys building scalable, high-quality solutions and working closely with stakeholders, product teams, and technical specialists. You will contribute to the full development lifecycle, from requirements refinement and solution design through to development, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Delivery

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce solutions usingApex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and native platform capabilities.
• Build and maintain custom objects, workflows, automations, and business processes.
• Develop and support integrations between Salesforce and internal or third-party systems using APIs and integration technologies.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with appropriate documentation.
• Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve platform issues and defects.
• Contribute to ongoing enhancements and platform optimisation initiatives.

Solution Design

• Support solution design activities, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with architects and senior technical stakeholders to define fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Apply Salesforce best practices, development standards, and governance frameworks.
• Identify opportunities to improve platform utilisation and reduce technical debt.

Agile Delivery & Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and other Developers to refine requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
• Provide delivery estimates and communicate progress effectively throughout project lifecycles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Platform Governance & Best Practice

• Adhere to established development standards, release management processes, and coding best practices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Salesforce platform and development processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience developing solutions on the Salesforce platform.
• Strong hands-on expertise with:
  
  • Apex
  • Lightning Web Components (LWC)
  • Salesforce data model
  • Salesforce security and sharing model
• Experience using Salesforce declarative tools, including Flows, validation rules, and automation capabilities.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with external applications and services.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
• Experience using source control tools such as Git.
• Previous experience working within Agile delivery environments.

Desirable Skills

• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification or equivalent.
• Experience working with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or other Salesforce products.
• Familiarity with Salesforce DX and DevOps tooling.
• Exposure to JavaScript development and modern web technologies.
