QA Software Tester (Mid-Level)

Hybrid working in Central Brighton offices - eCommerce software company

Salary to £50k per annum plus excellent employee benefits scheme.

My client are a well-established B2B and E-commerce Software Systems company in Brighton and they are in the process of expanding their current testing team to help with the development and testing of new applications related to a number of recent acquisitions and international projects.

My client build applications using C#, .Net core, SQL Server, Azure, Azure DevOps and JavaScript. They use Selenium, Postman and Playwright as their test tools as well.

This role will be to build UI, API and Database automation test scripts for a number of Web, Mobile and a couple of legacy Desktop applications as part of their product suite.

My client is currently looking for a Mid-Level Software Tester with a good background in building automation test scripts and the requirements are:

Skills and experience:

* Minimum 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance/testing roles, with at least 2+ years focused on Windows desktop application testing.

* Proven expertise in test planning, design, execution, and defect management.

* Experience in automation tools like FlaUI, ReqnRoll/Spec Flow, NUnit, or similar desktop UI automation frameworks.

* Hands-on experience with Selenium for web-based modules.

* Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and test integration tools.

* Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, both manual and automated.

* Can work independently as well as within a team

* Out of the box thinker who proactively tests alternative and edge-case scenarios

* Strong communication skills – able to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

* Quick learner with an adaptive and problem-solving mindset.

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail

Nice to Have:

* • Experience in WMS / supply chain or relevant domain workflows

* • Exposure to API testing using Swagger

* • Experience with BDD tools like SpecFlow or Cucumber

* • Performance and load testing exposure using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner
